Circular economy of modular buildings

The circular economy promotes the idea of turning waste into new resources. Working with our industry partners, we applied this idea to modular buildings. That allowed us to create L3 with reused components from an unsuccessful project, disassemblable walls and floors, resulting in waste minimisation and saving the environmental cost of recycling. Our efforts resulted in saving 20 tonnes of materials from disposal, with a sharp decrease of 88% of related greenhouse gas emissions.
